BT Italia, 100% owned by BT, is Italy’s leading supplier of communication
services and solutions for businesses and public administrations. BT Italia
was incorporated in October 2006, by merging the activities of Albacom Spa
and Fiat subsidiary Atlanet Spa, operating in the national telecommunication
services market. In Italy, BT Italia will also coordinate the operations of
BT Radianz and BT Infonet.
BT Italia has a capillary and top of the notch proprietary fibre optic
network, covering more than 12,000 kilometres across the national territory.
Its infrastructure is linked to BT Paneuropean network (the largest
high-speed transnational network in Europe) and linked to BT’s global
network. The BT network in Italy was designed and rolled out to guarantee
security, flexibility, scalability and reliability.
